Lladro Group HN 1445 Springtime in Japan Two Geisha Girls on Bridge

This Lladro group HN1445 is called Springtime in Japan by Salvador Debon is a geisha girl sitting on a wooden bridge over a pond in a Japanese water garden. She is dressed in a kimono and has a large parasol over her right shoulder, casually balanced by her right hand. Note the position of the parasol handle which goes behind the sitting geishas head and is quite stable when in this. The parasol handle dismantles and will be packed separately. Under the bridge is a water bird, possibly a swan.

The flower in the sitting geishas left hand is not complete. There should be a green stem hanging down. The photo shows a partial green stem in her left hand which appears to have been shortened/broken and is not visible when viewed from above. Ink flower plant at end of bridge has half a petal missing from the topmost flower.

I have not detected any chips, cracks or scratches on this figurine group. The figure group is sometimes displayed on a wooden felt lined plinth. I do not have this plinth.

It displays well on any flat surface. The group is 33cm(13inch) long, 28cm(11inch) high. The diameter of the parasol is 9.5cm(3.75inch). The total weight of the group is 2.742Kgm.
