I'm offering a extremely rare Nao by Lladro porcelain shoe. This is one of a series of shoes that were made in the late 60's when Lladro created the Nao line. My information is sketchy on this, but apparently the shoes were transition pieces, at least at first, and then became strictly Nao productions. I did speak to someone at Lladro to glean more information and was told that somewhere shortly after their production, the Nao shoes were retired in favor of strictly figural pieces. Lladro did manage to come up with a catalog number however and a title, but with cautions as to the correctness of the number and title. I was told that this shoe is called "Jester's Shoe" and the number was L-79. I was also told by Lladro that they didn't keep good records at the time of the production of these shoes. I did send Lladro photos of the shoes and of the marks and the marks are genuine. To verify price and to find out more about these shoes. Just search for Nao pre-production pieces.

This line of Nao has the same attention to detail that is prized in the more expensive and the more finely crafted Lladro's proper. The detailing is difficult to copy without the same expense to produce as Lladro's or Nao's. Because of the rarity of this piece it is a minor devaluation. This shoe measures 8"x 2"x 2 1/4 tall at the heel.

This shoe is in perfect condition. Because of the missing box, I promise you it will be packed to survive a nuclear blast!
