PRISTINE NAO Lladro #286 Teaching the Geese Girl Porcelain Figurine Spain 11in

Stunning vintage NAO by Lladró "Teaching the Geese" #0286 porcelain figurine, hand made in Spain. This large and impressive piece depicts a young woman gently gesturing toward two attentive white geese, beautifully rendered in the soft pastel palette and highly glazed finish associated with NAO Spanish porcelain. The "Teaching the Geese" design dates to approximately 1980 and is now retired. This example retains both its NAO Made in Spain backstamp and original gold foil Hand Made in Spain label on the underside. At approximately 11 inches tall and weighing 2.25 pounds, this is a substantial display piece with wonderful presence. The sculpted curls of the woman's hair, delicate hands and facial features, individually modeled feathers, open goose beaks, and textured naturalistic base give the composition plenty of detail when viewed from every angle. I was unable to find any chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs. The glossy glaze is exceptionally clean and smooth with no crazing noted. The delicate fingers, goose beaks, wings, and other vulnerable areas are all intact.
